About
I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Houston-Downtown, TX. I am studying to become a Geo-Physicist with a concentration in Petrology/Petroleum Geo-Technology. During my child hood, I never thought too deeply on toward my future career, but my preferred areas of interest were Space, Geology, Physics, and Nature. My interest in these field started with my mother who works for a Gas/Oil company, Chevron. Her influence was doubled by my fathers job at KBR, an Energy company, and my intrigue for a career that would keep me interested and inspired led me to research the field of a Geo-Physicist. My first year at the University of Houston-Downtown has been filled with numerous opportunities for me to expand my reach toward my goal. The Scholars Academy has given me access to resources of scholarships, internship opportunities, and volunteering that has greatly benefited me and further inspired me to do the best I can to become a Geo-Physicist and make a difference.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After getting my Bachelor's in this field, I intend to transfer to a graduate school (yet undecided) to achieve my Master's. I am also very intrigued to get my Doctorate so that I may one day teach at a University.
After I graduate with my Bachelor's I will strive for my Master's while looking for job opportunities, research, and internships within the Chevron Corporation.- Graduate school interests
Still pondering. Though Texas A&M has caught my eye.
- Outside the classroom
I love to collect interesting rocks and gems because they catch my eye. If the stars are out and bright, I will set up my telescope and stargaze. I like to test my mind more than anything with Sudoku, Brain Teasers, Game Shows, and Strategy Games. Sports are not my favorite thing to watch, but I love to play Basketball and Soccer. I love animals and little kids. I can debate on either side of an argument, and I enjoy interesting research. I'm a workaholic whenever I get interested or invested in a project.
