Elena Bistriceanu

I am currently a Nursing student at Northwest Nazarene University which is located in the sweet, small town of Nampa, Idaho. I am studying to become a nurse to further my passion of reaching out to the sick and those in need of medical attention. I grew up in Nampa, Idaho with romanian parents who are both very passionate health care employees. Growing up in a Christ loving environment, and having a mother as a Registered Nurse and a father as a care-provider, my parents taught me from a young age the value of giving. Watching my parents through my childhood years continually investing their time and emotionally energy into healthy and sick people alike, just feed into my already burning desire to give as well. I choose to pursue nursing at Northwest Nazarene University because of the highly competitive and advanced nursing program. I believe that I will become a quality and well educated nurse when I graduate from NNU's program because of the time the professors invest in every one of their students and the time they've dedicated to making sure each students understands the material presented. Becoming a nurse to me means more than having a stable and respectable job, it's about being used in ways to help people through knowledge that I've been blessed and gifted to learn.
