About
I am a Biology major at Oklahoma State University. Because I am a part of biology, I enjoy it. It's a practical learning experience that I can immediately relate to and utilize. Biology teaches you about your own body as well as other living species. In comparison to math and physics, which I find to be far more fictitious. Instead of just thinking I'm unwell when I get the flu and my nose becomes clogged, I now know my immune system is in good shape. And that eating less protein contains fewer calories than eating more fat, or that cutting back on the number of meals you eat in a day won't help you lose weight and will just slow down your metabolism. I've seen far too many people with no scientific background try every product they can get their hands on or believe every article they come across about weight loss, wanting to get rid of scars, and other such things, trusting that there is only one way to achieve their goal when there are many other natural ways to do so. Biology appeals to me because of the type of everyday, fundamental information that can be utilized in everyday life.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
Choosing a job that is right for me is one of the most difficult things I have ever faced. Though the majority of kids have no idea what they want to do after high school, I do. My studies in Sport and Medicine has increased my understanding of the vocation that I hope to pursue one day. Athletes that are always exercising to be in the finest physical form possible are involved in sports medicine. Athletes are involved in rehabilitation and supplements that they can take to help them heal quicker or perform better on the playing field. Athletes of high levels, such as Olympians, are active in sports medicine because it allows them to return to their sport faster and with less risk of re-injury. Not everyone heals on the same timetable or in the same way. This is why therapists provide a healing approach in a caring setting. They do not deal with sickness, but rather with healing, which is a dynamic process. Patients are instructed on how to establish the notion and sensation of health. They frequently have to delete a person's diagnosis that has been labeled by other doctors. A person is not broken because they are in pain. X-rays and MRI scans usually do not reveal the whole picture. So you sometimes have to perform several various tests to figure out precisely what the problem is with the patient; you'd be amazed how many patients have major mental disorders and believe they've been wounded in some way shape or form, but it's usually just a mental problem.
- Graduate school interests
After I complete my Bachelor's degree in Biology, I'm hoping to study Sports Medicine and Chiropractic. I plan to pursue a career in sports medicine. I want to be a sports medicine doctor for a variety of reasons. The three reasons are that I enjoy sports, the work appeals to me, and I want to provide for my family. Sports medicine is unquestionably the professional path for me. It may be a difficult task, but I am confident that I can do it with the support of my family. I chose sports medicine as a vocation because I enjoy sports. One of the reasons I enjoy sports is that I have spent my entire life participating in them. That's something I hope to accomplish in my future profession as well.
