About

Hello, my name is Eliz Cruz. I am currently employed as a case manager at the American Job Center located in Hartford, CT. I assist the community with finding stable employment to achieve career goals by addressing specific barriers in their present life. I provide career counseling, intensive case-management, and follow-up services to jobseekers to ensure customer growth. Also, I identify and address barriers to employment through individualized employment plans to better serve special population. I evaluate clients during intake session through assessments and made referrals to appropriate services to enhance their workforce development. I implement and facilitate Employment Readiness Training Program (E.A.G.E.R) to empower jobseekers and I assist clients in seeking employment and vocational training, as well as college preparation resulting in self-sufficiency.

The population I intend to serve are families in need of an intervention during all stages of their life. I believe the family dynamics play a major role to each family member and influence their values and beliefs.
