About
I am currently a senior at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I am pursuing a Community Health degree under the College of Health and Human Services. After graduating High School in 2011 I immediately started working. I do not come from a high income family and have had to work hard for what I need. I started attending Northern Virginia Community College that fall, and after numerous academic major changes and indeterminacy, I finally decided to pursue a Community Health degree. In 2015 I not only got accepted to George Mason University, but I also started another job. Even though I have not been able to join as many different clubs and organizations as I wanted due to my hectic work schedule I am now starting to do what I can to enjoy my last year. I am now at a place where I do not have to work 12 hour days, I do not have to wait for my next pay check to get by, and I can finally join clubs/organizations I never would have dreamed of. I now do not have to depend on working as much, and was able to get enough grants and scholarships due to my academic dedication and hard work. Of course I will continue to work hard because that is what I know will get me to where I want to be. I will also start volunteering at the Fair Oaks Hospital in August as a way to give back to the community, and I also enjoy helping people in whatever means possible.
