About

I had the honor of being the first-ever student from Union County, Kentucky, to be selected to attend the Kentucky Governor's School for Entrepreneurs. This experience solidified my desire to enter the business field. GSE allows students to gain an in-depth knowledge of all things business. We were tasked with creating a business with a group of peers. Students were brought together from across the state, bringing a multitude of backgrounds. I walked away with not only a laser focus on my future, but also with new relationships from the networking opportunities GSE provided.

As a fourth-generation farming family, I have seen first-hand the challenges that come with the agriculture field. I will forever be the person I am today because of the strong roots and foundation that was built by the farm. I have decided to shift from the generations before me and enter into a new field. I have a strong interest in marketing and possibly real estate. Perhaps this new career field will, in turn, be able to assist and grow Gough Farms in the future.

A four-year university will provide an environment that will allow me to grow and prepare for a successful future in business. Community and family have been and will continue to be a crucial piece of my journey. I welcome the opportunity to become heavily involved on campus while preparing for my future career.
