Emma Kopang

I am currently a Communication student at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. I hope to one day own my own business and be able to give back to my community within the field of communication. I grew up in McKinney, TX where my mother works for HP, and my father works as an audio engineer. I have grown up right outside one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the United States, which has helped me develop my passion for communication and human interaction. I have also had the opportunity to watch my mom develop her career in Human Relations and love every minute of it. I have carried this passion into my high school and college careers through my involvement with the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). I went to regional competitions two years in a row, advancing to State each time. The competitions included testing over material such as Job interview skills, Etiquette, Hospitality and other areas of communication. I have also joined many campus organizations OU Cousins, a club that encourages relationships between foreign exchange students and US students. I hope to continue my on campus involvement with these organizations and build lasting relationships, as well as devote my time and effort to my studies.
