Erik Austin

I am an aspiring media production professional with experiences in field, studio and video board productions through my past professional course work, internships and involvement in student organizations within the Penn State: College of Communications.

My career goals are focused on the behind-the-scenes practical aspects of production for the media industry for film, television and sports. My work have helped complement my pursuits and furthermore, I wish to aspire learning from everyone with a desire to continue learning.

I worked as a Video and Photography intern with the Penn State: College of Information Sciences and Technology where I was involved with the college's youth camp, iTech Academy during the Summer of 2014. I completed my internship with them in December 2015 and I still work with them from time to time through a voluntary basis.

During the Fall Semester 2014, I interned and am currently working as a Production Assistant with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics where I utilize various positions in video board productions and Big Ten Network Student U coverages in stationary and handheld camera, utility, audio, fly box, robotic camera and replay. Along with Penn State Athletics, I am involved with the student organization Penn State Network Television where I rotate studio positions in the student show, Penn State Sports Night.
