Erilyn Spooner

crew member at Famous Hot Chix Toledo- Hot Chix is a kitchen, and I am one of four expediters in our 10+ person team. Working in a kitchen means learning important skills fast and executing them perfectly, and as a fast learner I enjoy being able to learn and then put new information to use. I was trained to work everywhere, learning how to temp and cook chicken and prepare sides, but also to be the main expedited, and that is what I am now. I run the front by myself some days, and handle cash handling, 3+ registers, and making cash drops and deposits for my main register into a safe for the restaurant. I also check the food, bag and add napkins/packets/silverware, season any chicken and box up easy meals, and make milkshakes. I check everything before it goes out and also handle Doordash and takeout orders, meaning I'm in charge of informing my team if I need a vital item. I keep my space clean and coordinated and am ready to jump into the kitchen if they need it, which makes it flow. As of 1/8/2025 I am still employed and expect to be employed here for the rest of my college career because I love working in a kitchen, and I love and appreciate all my coworkers.
