Gerardo Volkert Saenz Del Villar

Hi! My name is Gerardo Saenz, I am currently 18 and was born and raised in Mexico City but moved to Houston, Texas in 2008. I am a very motivated, organized, personable and enthusiastic student with excellent communication and leadership skills demonstrated with all my teachers and coaches meanwhile leading and coaching a program at my club team called Blue Tide Aquatics that is specialized in teaching little three to five year old kids how to swim, I have also volunteered in Blue Tide Aquatics swim meets and a community pool which was devastated by the Houston floods however, I believe that Collage is worth my time and investment because the bar is set really high with my lifetime goal standards, I want to be the Founder & CEO of my Hotel/Resort chain that will revolutionize the way a guest interacts with the hotel, meanwhile greatly improving guest satisfaction. Since the 7th grade I have been very passionate about working to accomplish my goals, I also have over 400 Volunteer hours and more to come. I am not those kinds of people who view volunteering as a must do thing to look good in a resume, in fact I love and enjoy every second of it. With that said I am currently in a program called Hospitality Services that takes three periods out of my busy schedule each day to intern at the Houston Airport Marriott during school hours, I love and am extremity thankful that I am working to accomplish my ultimate lifelong goal. I am currently entering into my senior year in Kingwood High School however, I plan to apply to Cornell University, University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and the University of Houston-Downtown, I have recently expressed my love for the hotel industry and that is what I plan to major in. This year will be a very busy and exiting year for me because over the summer I attended the Conrad N. Hilton Collage summer camp at the University of Houston, and during the middle of January I will be attending the 2017 Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit by Envision. I love to visualize myself in a future resort of mine because, slowly and steady throughout the years I have been carving a path towards my ultimate goal.
