About
My name is Gunner Parent and I am a first generation college student. I grew up in the small town of Pittsburg, Oklahoma. I am an avid outdoors man who also enjoys sports and spending time with my family. My parents have encouraged me to be whatever it is that I aspire to be and they have worked hard to provide me with all the tools necessary to succeed. I also have an incredible wife who supports my dreams and wants to see me succeed. I have a great support system and all I need to succeed, the rest is up to me.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to pursue a career in medicine, more specifically as a pediatrician. I grew up in a large, close nit family. Being the oldest of fifteen cousins I've always had a protective and caring mentality which sparked my love for helping children. During my freshmen year of high school I participated in FCCLA (Family Career Community Leaders of America) and competed in a career development competition. The career I chose was a pediatrician and I've been in love with it since then.
- Graduate school interests
I am hoping to attend medical school either at Oklahoma University or Oklahoma State University.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy numerous outdoor activities which include: hunting, fishing, riding ATV's, hiking, and walking my dogs. I love time spent with my family either out in town or family gathers around the house. I also enjoy occasionally playing recreational basketball or football with friends and family.
