I was inducted in my junior year (fall 2018) and will be graduating with them in 2020. It has been fun being a part of a community who loves literature like I do.
academic achievement award

In my freshmen year (2016), I was awarded with the academic achievement award for being one of the two students in my class to have an unweighted 4.0.

Career goal: I plan to earn my Bachelor's in Music Therapy as well as my certification after graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University. In the next few years, I hope to attend college again to go for my Masters in either Music Therapy or Psychology. Later in life, I hope to either have my own practice or work in a children's hospital to help children with mental and physical disorders.
Graduate school interests: I am thinking about going to a school like Florida State University for grad school and earn a Masters in either Music Therapy or Psychology, leaving some room open to what I want to do in the future.
Outside the classroom: I have been playing the oboe for 6 years now as my main instrument, but I also play mallet instruments (i.e. marimba), guitar, and a bit of piano. Singing is one of my pastimes, as I have been singing since I was very little. I also enjoy reading; literature from the Romantic period is one of my favorites. My family also has a large number of pets, and I love spending time with them and my family.
I love going to the ocean and swimming in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. While I'm there, I collect beautiful seashells that wash ashore.
