About

I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oklahoma City University. My academic and professional interests center on trauma-informed care, addiction, adolescents, and family systems. I am especially passionate about improving access to mental health services for rural and Native American communities and advocating for individuals and families who are often underserved. My long-term goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and build a career that combines clinical practice, advocacy, and community impact.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in work with adolescents, individuals, and families affected by trauma, addiction, and other mental health concerns. I am particularly interested in serving rural and Native American communities where access to behavioral health services can be limited. As I gain clinical experience, I hope to incorporate creative and art-based therapeutic approaches into my work and eventually pursue private practice while continuing to advocate for accessible mental health care.

Graduate school interests

Clinical Mental Health Counseling; trauma-informed counseling; addiction and substance use disorders; adolescent and family counseling; multicultural counseling; Native American and rural behavioral health; art therapy and expressive approaches; and future doctoral-level study in counseling or psychology.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy colored-pencil drawing and illustration, leatherworking, photography, and other creative projects. I also enjoy attending local community events and spending time outdoors and at sporting events with my family.
