About
Hi! My names Hailie, and my biggest dream since I was 11 has been to go to school in NYC.
As the sun glistened through my eyes, I woke up in my favorite city.
Being in New York is a feeling that’s hard to describe for me because although I’ve only ever called Pittsburgh home,
I feel more at home in the biggest city in the US.
The way the sun reflects against the skyscrapers,
and the wind blows as a taxi drives past are all reminders that I am in control of my life.
I love the adrenaline rush of the millions of things happening all around me, all at once.
I desire the limitless options and opportunities that the city holds.
I crave the accessibility of having everything in my hands,
as quick as a 15 minute walk, or a 3 minute subway ride.
When I’m in New York I love how there's so many different kinds of people,
And how through those random people I can be reminded of the people I love back at home.
New York brings out my inner joy for the little things in life that I usually wouldn’t
appreciate or notice as much,
Like the flowers planted across the sidewalks,
Or the random bursts of music from performers on the streets.
I love the sense of independence that the city gives me.
When I wake up in New York, I wake up feeling free.
Each day is a new chance to reinvent myself
And enhance the future that I desire.
I love New York City because it makes me feel like me.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Why do people make the choices that they make? Why do people sometimes make choices that they know in the end will only hurt them? I face these questions each time I try to analyze the reasons or desires for their actions. Because of this, my obsession with these questions and the reasons behind them is what inspires me to become a Private Investigator for the FBI.
I want to be able to see a crime scene and find the reasons why the criminals committed their crimes, not just tearing them apart for what they did. Everyone deserves to be heard in some shape, way, or form. I also believe that not all criminals are bad and deserve to be punished the way that they do, and because of this, I want to be a part of the future leaders who help change their lives.- Graduate school interests
