Haleigh Hughes

I am currently a sophomore at Iowa State University where I am studying biology and animal science. I have spent the past ten years of my life showing horses and being involved in 4-H, which I joined when I was in sixth grade, and then FFA, which I joined when I was in ninth grade. Being the only one in my family interested in horses, 4-H, and FFA, it has taught me to be very independent in everything I do. From a young age, I was doing most of my horse activities on my own, of course, with the help of my dad to transport my horses and I until I was able to drive. I am very driven to get what I want done, and will work until I am satisfied. With my love of horses, I want to be able to work with them the rest of my life. I am very determined to be accepted into vet school so I am able to work with animals throughout my lifetime.
