About

My name is Hannah Stinson and I currently teach at a Title 1 Elementary School in Fort Worth, Texas. I have taught for four years at the same Elementary School. I am a 4th grade writing teacher this school year and absolutely love spending time teaching children how to engage in the written world around them. I have also taught 3rd grade in a self-contained classroom where I had the opportunity to teach each content area. Teaching in the classroom has been incredibly rewarding and I love engaging with students every single day. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2012 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. During my time as an undergraduate student I spent time as a reading tutor and worked as a teaching assistant at a local Elementary school. Teaching is my true passion. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to pursue a career that positively impacts children's lives. As I gain experience in the teaching profession, my desire to learn and grow as a leader led me to going back to school. I knew I could acquire more knowledge and learn from my professors and fellow students. I am currently a graduate student at Lamar University and am seeking a Master's in Educational Administration. This degree will lead me on a path to become a school principal. My professional focus is to become an influential leader by motivating other educators to make a difference in the classrooms, schools, and community around them. Pursuing a Master's degree is just the beginning of my journey to becoming a leader that inspires true change.
