About

My name is Hasan Al - Jamaly. I have only been in the United States for almost a year now, and this foreign system still seems a bit peculiar to me. I came to Saint Louis, Missouri, from my home town of Amman, Jordan. Living in a Third World Country with a lack of opportunities provided for its people, I grew up with a constant dream that I will once begin a new life at a place that actually appreciates hard workers and awards them for their achievements, rather than treat them as if they are just another member of the work force built to serve a country. Once I came to the United States, I realized that the world is my oyster, and that with the help of scholarships and financial aid, I can achieve my dream of becoming a successful doctor. To me, that was something I could never have done. However, I am now hopeful that the land of dreams and chances will allow me to actually pursue my ambitions without fear of being unsuccessful.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My plan is to complete a pre-medical program at New York University, starting from Fall of 2014 through Spring of 2018. I will be attending the Polytechnic School of Engineering, seeking an undergraduate degree in Bio molecular Engineering. After earning my undergraduate degree, I will hopefully attempt to work in this designated field - in order to pay off student loans - while starting a graduate degree in medicine.

Graduate school interests

As mentioned earlier, I plan to study Medicine after finishing my undergraduate degree. While studying medicine, I will explore the variety of options and specialties within this broad graduate degree in order to choose the specialty that I will pursue later on.
