About

Last term was my first semester at college. To my surprise it is completely opposite of high school. The classes are based more on discussion, the material is more dense, and everyone seems to enjoy being at campus. I have unconditionally fell in love with my campus. People are dedicated to studies and are infatuated with the scholarly material. Although the first two weeks of college I was intimidated with the workload I have learned to enjoy all of the material and education I am receiving. This is just the beginning of my college career and I am eager to see how it unfolds.

Goals and interests

Career goal

Dentistry has been a passion of my since the age of five. My dentist let me rinse my mothers mouth out after an examination, and after that moment I thought dentists had one of the most interesting jobs. Dentists have the ability to change a persons life. Having a better smile, whiter teeth, or having an implant can make a person more confident and have a radiant smile. It is easy to say one of my life goals is to become a dentist who enhances many people's lives for the better.

Graduate school interests

I have grown up in the small town of Washougal, Washington and the one grad school I have consistently looked at is OHSU. It is right across the river from where I live and I have fell in love with the Portland metro area. The campus is beautiful, inspiring, and truly has a soft spot in my heart. One of my closest friends was in a quad accident, he broke his back and nearly died. OHSU is the hospital that kept him alive and facilitated him in learning how to do the simplest movements such as walking. It is apparent that OHSU cares deeply about there grad school participants, but also the patients that walk in and out of there doors.

Outside the classroom

In my free time I enjoy to weight lift, snow board, and go hiking. I love to get outside and keep an active life style. Living in the Pacific Northwest is a beautiful experience as the gorge posses breath taking hikes. The beach has petite towns each unique from one another. Mount Hood, this magnificent mountain is not only beautiful during the winter with the feet of snow, but it is also gorgeous during the summer with exasperating hikes and adventures. I want to explore, live life, and see what the earth has to offer. As I have a healthy life style, exploring has become an fulfilling hobby of my mine.
