Jackson McCray

I am a problem solver driven by the belief that technology should not simply make life more efficient—it should expand what is possible. From becoming a JCPS Chess District Champion and reaching the top 0.01% of Brawlhalla players, to programming for five years, building my own game, placing second at Startup Weekend, and leading AI projects for schools, businesses, media, and Louisville Metro Government, I have consistently sought out difficult systems and found ways to improve them. I want to carry that same mindset into computer science, software engineering, simulation, and artificial intelligence—not simply to participate in the future of technology, but to help design it. I want to combine disciplines, challenge conventional thinking, and create systems that are intelligent, efficient, meaningful, and beautiful. Ultimately, I want my work to leave the world with benefits and capabilities it did not have before, as I believe all things should.
