About

My name is Jade Jenkins. I participate in many extracurriculars such as lacrosse, NHS, Beta, and DECA club. I am very passionate about community service and volunteer my free time to help those in my community. I like to grow on my hobbies: drawing, painting, and photography. I am grateful that the National Honor Society was founded and can bring many more amazing opportunities for me!

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have been in DECA for 3 years, which introduced me to business. Since then, my logical mind has loved it and never looked back. I plan to major in Business Marketing. My college I plan on attending requires you to minor in two unrelated fields, but I have managed to find two that I enjoy and also relate to marketing: visual arts and psychology. If I become more improved in visual arts I can help their marketing team in web design, creating ads, campaigns, and other things. Psychology has always been an interest of mine and knowing how the mind works to appeal to consumers is perfect for marketing! I want to work for a company I am passionate about to help improve their marketing with my ideas!

Graduate school interests

I plan to attend college at Brigham Young University Hawai'i, majoring in Business Marketing and minoring in visual arts and psychology.

Outside the classroom

I am very passionate about art. At such a young age I watched my older sisters put on makeup and that was the gateway for me. To me, makeup is painting-- the canvas is the face. It relieves my stress and provides me a creative outlet. It not only benefits me, though. My favorite part is seeing how it impacts others. Their confidence being boosted by me just doing a little something is so rewarding. Everyone has crippling insecurities and letting people see their own beauty enhanced is like watching a butterfly come out of the cocoon, open up, and fly. This has gotten me into drawing, painting, and photography a little bit, too, which I hope to expand upon in the future.
