About
My name is Jaidyn Castillo. I am a first generation college university student who is passionate about mental health, nature, hard work and diversity. I am from Puerto Rican decent and have grown up around that culture my entire life. Diversity along with learning about other people are some of my biggest standards when it comes to choosing and school, job or even friend group. I value relationships of every kind and open communication for everyone in order to be truly happy with each other. My biggest goal is to have a successful career as a counselor.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended Job path is to become a marriage and family counselor. Mental health amongst teens, parents, families and couples are extremely important to me due to having experience with needing help myself. I wish to offer other people this help in the future.
- Graduate school interests
During Grad School I’d like to study my major in psychology while studying my minor in social work or sociology. Participating in clubs or activities at my university will be something I will always look forward to in order to become closer to my peers and school as a whole.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies are Singing, ballet or lyrical dance and exploring outdoors. I have participated in many chorus concerts and clubs and have been singing since elementary school. It’s an art I’m very passionate about as well as dancing which I’ve been dancing since the age of 7 and have continued it throughout my schooling. Going outdoors is a huge stress reliever for me. Hiking, camping and studying the wildlife are activities I will gladly participate in anytime. I especially want to apply this by living in the mountains eventually.
