Janelle Gates

After finishing college, my goal is to pursue a career as a professional company, commercial, or ballet dancer since my training in different genres gives me flexibility in my professional goals. I would like to book jobs for movies, television shows and concerts while assisting other well-known choreographers and dancers. I would concurrently like to be apart of a professional dance company. I really enjoy teaching, helping and being a role model for younger kids. I enjoy watching young dancers learn and grow over time. I have a longer-term goal of providing a local dance studio teaching help as needed. I would provide dance classes to younger kids and choreography/classes to older kids. I would also like to provide dance classes at community outreach events for those communities that may not have dance as an available arts outlet. I would like to teach young dancers how to succeed in this business.

I have been drawn to the arts and the creative side of things since early childhood. I love to dance, paint, crochet, draw, do arts and crafts, sing, play the flute, and play video games.
