About

My name is Jay Hargrove and I am striving to achieve my Bachelor's of Biology at Eastern New Mexico University. I graduated Hobbs High, May 18th, 2015. In High School, I participated in many clubs and associations, I even participated in many more associations and clubs before I moved to Hobbs, New Mexico. I had participated in Teen Court, Art Club and became part of National Honor Society. In my senior year, I was Captain of the Guard for the Hobbs Band Color Guard, President of the Art Club, inducted the fall of 2014 into Phi Theta Kappa at New Mexico Junior College and was chosen to be President of the Psi Theta Chapter that following 2015 spring semester. I am also part of the Lea County Art Association and NRA. I have been participating in College since 2012 through High School classes of Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and actual college classes at NMJC over the summers. I will graduate May 13th, 2016 from NMJC with my Associates of Arts and move on to ENMU for my Biology degree in the emphasis of Wildlife Management and Fisheries. I plan to try and achieve more learning in other emphasis as well like an MMOB and EEBB. I have been in three Art Shows and won a Honorable Mentions ribbon, and I am a model at NMJC for their Photography class with Professor Brian Henning. My family owns Lazy H Farms and we are rancher/farmers. I have been raised around all kinds of animals and have hunted and fished all my life, so I think it is perfect for me to try and work for a career in the Animal field. I'm wishing to either become part of the Wildlife Rangers in Texas/New Mexico region and then start my own Wildlife Rehab, Rescue and Relocation Center.
