I will pursue my career field in Law, and specialize in the Criminal Justice system. I would like to have internship opportunities for Washington D.C., in order to experience a daily insight on governmental responsibilities.
- Outside the classroom
I love to swim and my favorite swimming technique is the Freestyle Stroke. I bake and cook weekly with my parents and I love to assist in cutting vegetable and suggesting new meals. I walk my dog during the summer with my younger sister, and I also babysit my niece and two nephews for my older sister.
Volunteering
-
I participated in a fundraiser for the Blythewood High School swim team. I held signs near a local gas station where I promoted hand-washed car washes. I ensured to waive my sign to lure cars to a cheap car wash and many locals participated. I was recognized for being very kind and enthusiastic to many locals, and I volunteered for four hours.

I volunteered for a Sneaker Ball event at a local elementary, Lake Carolina Elementary, South Carolina. During the event, I distributed many desserts to families. I welcomed families inside the gymnasium and ensured every child and parent received three cookies, of their choosing, with multi-colored napkins. I greeted each individual with a smile and complemented their beautiful appearances.

I participated in a roadside trash pick-up around Blythewood High School's campus in South Carolina. I wore black gloves, a bright neon vest, and gathered plastic, metal, paper, and cardboard from the grass. I ensured to trace my steps once more to collect trash that had been missed by other students. With a group of my peers, in the Junior R.O.T.C. program, we collected two large black trash bags filled with trash.

I volunteered at a local Walmart, 321 Killian Rd, Columbia, SC, to raise awareness for veterans. I distributed plastic buddy poppy flowers to many customers and I ensured each person received a flower. I promoted flowers by using them as hair accessories and even encouraged customers to do the same. Though this volunteering event was an act of self-less service, customers did raise money for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Affairs. During the event, I was recognized by the Cadet Battalion Commander of my company for speaking Spanish to families who had a language barrier; I was then awarded 'Cadet of the Week'.

I volunteered to do flag detail for the Junior R.O.T.C. Program. I was assigned to ensure four peers of my mine were present at 7:45 am in order to begin formation. I marched my peers to the flag pole and I held everyone accountable for showing respect and proper handling of the United States Flag. I made sure students arrived on time to begin the procedure, and when students were missing I encouraged and received communication of the absence.
