About
When I consider al my life experiences, I imagine them as a system of bones and joints, interconnected, cooperative,
and form-giving. My experiences in the major financial trading centers of the world and my studies of the global markets were
very challenging and educational yet, at the end of the day, it left me empty of purpose. I always felt I was “missing
something” integral to the heart of who I am. I was always volunteering at healthcare centers during my free time on
the weekends just as I did during high school and college. of participating in the caring element of the healthcare industry in various public and private hospitals and health care centers since I was a junior high school student. This is who I am as a person throughout my entire life.
I do consider myself very blessed to have gained a vast and varied work experience in the corporate finance
arena. In my 22 years in corporate administration (that culminated to both Director of Business Operations and Chief
of Staff positions, I learned how to build effective teams, how to lead productive meetings, how to read company
financials, P&L statements, tax, and legal documents and how to negotiate vendor contracts and how to implement
numerous cost-savings initiatives. Moreover, I also learned how to work effectively in tandem with operations,
compliance, human resources, IT, facilities, tax, legal, and accounting departments, as we l as interviewing and
selecting candidates, instilling accountability measures, and managing multiple teams. The healthcare profession completely encompasses my desire to help people, work in teams, and remain intellectually challenged. A career in healthcare
administration would unite my excitement for learning, team management and multi-tasking and my desire for helping
others into one big, distinct whole.
It would be simplistic for me to say that I have chosen to devote my life to the healthcare profession only
because I have a strong desire to help people. For me, al my experiences have led me to this point. It is the only
profession in which I can find the intellectual challenge, honor, and moral satisfaction I seek.
