Jermar Bennett

Growing up in West Baltimore with a single mother, we were, and still are, poor. I got in trouble a lot as a child but mostly couldn't understand why. The majority of the things I got in trouble for, teachers and adults said made a good leader. I knew I was misunderstood. But I also didn't understand myself. The summer coming into High school, joining the football team immediately matured me. Meanwhile giving me the chance to develop my understanding of life, as well as others views of life. All I want to do in life is make sure children, no matter how difficult their lives are, to the type of person they supposedly are, get the chance to focus on them, feel loved and supported, and learn a philosophy that help them be happy. As well as being empathetic and sympathetic, no matter how much they understand or favor a person.
