About
"You cannot do all the good that the world needs, but the world needs all the good that you can do".
I used to dream of being an astronaut, a performer, maybe a choreographer... but as I have advanced in my undergraduate degrees, as I've lived through difficult circumstances, as I look at the state of our world -- our climate, our politics, the people on the peripheral of society, of the world -- I feel morally responsible to help in any way I can.
My hardships have given me access to a giant dictionary of problems, my education the tools to see them and combat them on a personal and one day on a societal level.
As a double major, in two ostensibly polar opposite fields, I have taken a little longer to graduate than my peers but I am grateful for this opportunity to deeper cultivate my skills. I'm excited to look at my trajectory; to see where I'm at, where I've come from, and to glimpse at how far I'll go.
In the meantime, I'm here rubbing my hands together wondering which projects to tackle first. The ones resonating the loudest in me are; helping in the commercialization of electric power, resolving resource imbalances in the world on a global level -- maybe initially through an Engineers Without Borders patching, assisting the commercialization of space flight by providing solutions to reducing space junk, and creating a platform where scientists and artists can collaborate to strengthen their own research with high end equipment, an experimental lab for open, playful, curious, and malleable minds.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
If I had to choose one thing right now to shoot for first, it would be creating a company for scientists and artists to collaborate on innovative projects.
I've recently joined an entrepreneurial society on campus, where I plan to connect and consult with company creators in order to begin the process of materializing this goal. Upon graduating with my degrees and through this society's collaborations, I plan on graduating ready to take off with this idea.
- Graduate school interests
I'd be interested in diving into the realm of smart materials in order to amplify (or contribute to the amplification of) possibilities in wearable technology. I'm also interested in green technologies as a graduate field of study.
- Outside the classroom
I've been training in Muay Thai for about four years now, I love playing the piano -- started at the age of six (just found an old workbook signed in scribbly letters dated to 2003). I dance as well..... but music and dance have become so integrated in my life that I wouldn't really call them hobbies anymore. It does fall into the current definition of a hobby I suppose.
I enjoy rock-climbing as well.
