Im a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and was planning to study Electrical Engineering as a former Civil engineering major student. I believe that the U.S can significantly benefit from more STEM majors to boost our nation's technological output, aside from that incentive that Electrical Engineering majors make 6-figure salaries in the long run in spite of the extensive complexities that surround this field. This is an important turning point in my life because I'm rewarding my parents' hard work and sacrifice by attending post-secondary education after spending more than 2 decades in the United States. And having my parents watching my graduate from this college with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering will be a dream come true for me and my family. This epitomises the American Dream that every immigrant family endeavours.
