About
My name is John Kovich, but my friends call me Mikie. I am a transfer student at James Madison University from Randolph-Macon College, where I played football at the collegiate level. Along with my major, I am studying for a minor in Sports Communication. Sports, especially football, are a monumental part of my life. I have experience in playing and coaching football at the high school and collegiate levels, so a career in sportscasting or coaching is not out of the question. I served on Randolph-Macon College's Student Athletic Advisory Committee from '18-'19 where I represented the varsity football team and provided feedback between the team and college officials. I have also done many group projects for school, including one where I was the liaison between our college and the town hall of Ashland, where it was located. We worked on solving marketing and social issues between the town and the college. I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow as a scholar, hopefully with the help of the Honor Society.
