About

My name is John Wesley Reeves, and I am a Pre-Civil Engineering Major. I was raised in the city of Amarillo, Texas, where I became acquainted with history, art, and culture. The small towns surrounding my home showed me windows to the past, in their beautiful abandoned structures. After visiting these sites, I would often recreate them in Lego bricks and imagine what they would look like fixed up. It was from these experiences that I became inspired to refurbish old properties into facilities the public could use and enjoy. I chose Civil Engineering to pursue as an undergrad for its emphasis on practicalities and theory, so that I can pursue a master's in architecture with through mathematical lens. I chose WT for its proximity to home, its affordable education, and, most importantly, the reputation of success that it boasts.
