Joslyn Sullivan Rose

My name is Joslyn Sullivan and I am a current sophomore at Middlebury College in Vermont. Originally from Amherst, MA, I chose Middlebury to pursue my interest in Environmental Studies. Since being here I have developed a second love for Sociology, and I am now working towards a joint major across the two fields. My studies help me look at the ways that ecological factors determine the social, political and economic structure of a society, as well as the ways a society's values can affect the environment that they live in. I was also lucky enough to be accepted as a "February Student" at Middlebury College, meaning that I was able to start my college experience a semester later than most incoming first-years. This was an incredible opportunity for me, as the travel and experiences that I was able to partake in have helped me grow passionate about my studies and kept me driven to constantly challenge my worldview and live the fullest life possible.
