Julissa Younkin

I am currently working as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), part time while going to school full time at Bowling Green State University-Firelands Campus. I am working towards a Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree by 2020. Once I get that degree I will be employed as a Registered Nurse (RN). As soon as I get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, I will be going back to school part time striving for a Masters of Science in Nursing and working as an RN full time. My long term goal is to one day be a Nurse Practitioner.

Education has become really important to me. I would also like to add that life isn't easy. With that being said, there are (and were) many things that have got me through the obstacles of life that has not only helped me get an education, but has also helped me to succeed. The teachers and the tutors help me more than they know. Over time I learned that its okay to ask for help. Having the motivation came from my mom, to do amazing in school so she would be happy and proud. One day I woke up and learned how important learning really is. I learned I cant live my whole life working at a fast food place. I learned that I want to make more with my life and the only way to do that is through education. I learned that I want to become a Register Nurse (RN), so I can help people like how so many people have helped me.

I taught my self how to play the guitar. I own a total of four guitars, two acoustic and two electric. I also taught my self how to juggle.
