About
My name is Justice Penn and I was born and raised in Georgia by parents apart of the military. Throughout grade school I did my best and achieved perfect attendance and made A-B Honor Roll or A Honor Roll almost every year. By my senior year, I graduated with all A's and was top 10% of my graduating glass. Sadly, I graduated during the peak of covid so I did not get to experience a true graduation. Afterwards, I did not know what I wanted to attend college for, so I took a 2 1/2 gap year participating in the work force. During my gap years, I realized I did not want to spend the rest of my days working in warehouses or grocery stores in order to make ends meet. I wanted to make a true living for myself, so I decided to find majors that incorporated my personal interests. I enjoyed working with my hands and fixing different technologies, therefore, I figured Computer Engineering would be a major that would keep me interested and happy with what I'm doing. So, that's what I did. Unfortunately, I forced myself to settle for a major I wasn't necessarily interested in or even looked into because the school I chose was affordable and I was not comfortable with being too far away from family just yet. However, during second semester freshman year, I finally decided that I want to study the major that I initially wanted to do, instead of forcing myself to study something that would possibly make me miserable in the long run. So, currently in my first semester of junior year, I am completing classes that will help with transfer credits and then I will transfer to a school that has Computer Engineering, so that I can pursue the career I intended for myself.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
When deciding that Computer Engineering would be the major for me, I thought about what careers would be interesting to do. I toured different colleges that I applied to and I came across one that had a mock news station inside of the media building. Ever since I saw that mock news station, I have thought about working in the news field as the person who fixes the equipment. I have considered minoring in Communication so that I would be able to communicate with people much better, considering I am on a news set. However, since I am transferring schools now, I am sort of unconfident in adding a minor to my education because I am afraid to be in school longer than the intended four years. Although, I think I want to keep my minor so I am unsure what to do mentally.
Since starting college, that is the only job position I have thought about doing. Honestly, I would be grateful for whatever job I am able to get that is worth my education and skill sets.- Graduate school interests
I do not believe I need to consider grad school for Computer Engineering so it has not ever been a thought in my mind to do research on it.
- Outside the classroom
As I get older, I find myself enjoying looking at home renovations or home decor for the future. I enjoy collecting mugs or cups with sayings or different designs. I like experiencing new things that stretch the limits of my comfort zone, depending on what it is. Although, mostly, I enjoy spending time with my family and creating new memories with them.
