Justyn Johnson

I am a current geology major with extensive skilled labor experience. I enjoy playing football and received a scholarship to play throughout junior college. I am continuing my education at The University of Houston Downtown to explore my interests in science and network with others alike. I intend to join several organizations within my university and the National Honor Society to volunteer my ideas and efforts to further grow as a leader. I am consistently searching for ways to improve my leadership skills in every area of my life. Over the past few years, I have spent over a hundred hours volunteering at the Harris County Public Health shelter with all kinds of animals. At the shelter, I was promoted to trained many prospective applicants and new hire paid positions. My flexibility and willingness to learn has translated in several skilled labor positions I've held throughout life such as, a field and pest control technician, traffic controller, cable installer and general laborer. The passion I have for learning new things and serving others has guided me in staying focused and following through on achieving my goals.
