About
Hello, my name is Kaley Makino and I am a writer, director, educator and cultural enthusiast. I have my MA in Transcultural Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and matriculated to Cornell University's Department of Performing and Media Arts for a 2 year SAGE Fellowship in Directing. Pursuing doctoral research landed me the opportunity to apply for a Mellon Foundation grant to learn and produce documentaries. I realized then my passion for visualizing the process of performance as much as the final product, and how documentary affords a certain egalitarian access never before afforded to stage production--both for audience and performer's sake.
