Kara Overlien

As a six year old I was cast as a lamb with a lisp in my church Christmas play. I was astonished when the congregation laughed as I spoke my lines very "thimply"! That was the catalyst that helped me conquer my shyness. I am the youngest of four and I always felt that I was in the shadow of my siblings. Little did I know that acting would develop me into a strong and independent woman. I took dance lessons, vocal lessons, and played years of soccer. When my elementary school had plays, I auditioned for them. I was in all the school's talent shows. My parents encouraged me and took me to many auditions and theater workshops as I was growing up. I love making people laugh and I love working with children. My summer months have been spent as a camp counselor,Vacation Bible School counselor, and theater counselor. While in college, I have supported myself with my photography skills. This fall I will be a senior at Webster University in St. Louis, MO studying for my Bachelor of Fine Arts - Acting.
