Goals and interests
- Career goal
Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy. I am still in the beginning phase of my career path. I have not decided which population I want to work with. I would like to work with veterans and citizens with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Traumatic Brain Injury and other neurological injury or ailments. I have experience with children with intellectual and learning disabilities. I am a parent of two children with disabilities.
- Graduate school interests
I plan on attending Grad School to receive my Masters in Psychology. I believe that the combination of Music Therapy with an LPC will give me a more competitive edge and the opportunity to help a wider variety of individuals.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy making crafts of all kinds, especially textile crafts such as pillows. I enjoy dancing and attending live performances and music venues. I like to sew and create costumes. I enjoy Irish and Scottish festivals and Renaissance Festivals. I enjoy public speaking and performing. I am an advocate for people with special needs and survivors of domestic violence. I am very interested in other cultures.
