Karen Thurman

My entry into the nursing profession was influenced by many factors. I believe that nursing is a helping profession that aims at assisting people in their vulnerable states. The nursing profession requires compassion and a strong commitment to helping others and promoting their overall well-being. Since I was young, I always wanted to become a nurse. I admired the nurse’s uniforms and how they cared for the sick to become well again. I worked hard in school and passed my examinations and had the grades required o pursue nursing. My parents were very supportive and since they learned about my career aspirations, they motivated and encouraged me to push forward to fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse.
