About

I’m Kayla Peters, a dedicated mother, content creator, caregiver, and community builder with a passion for helping others feel seen and supported. I hold dual high school completions from Buckeye Trail and Mid-East Career and Technology Centers, along with certifications in Licensed Practical Nursing and Phlebotomy. Not only that, but I also attended Kent State University before stepping away to help raise my younger sister, a decision that taught me sacrifice, resilience, and the value of showing up for others.

Professionally, I’ve worked across industries in roles ranging from office manager to assistant store lead, and for the past several years, I’ve managed a full household with compassion, organization, and care. As a Twitch streamer and TikTok creator, I’ve built a thriving online community from the ground up focused on humor, honesty, and heartfelt connection. My motto? “I love you. I’m proud of you. And that’s all that matters.”

Whether I’m streaming horror games, advocating for neurodivergent kids, or raising funds for charity, everything I do is rooted in empathy and impact. My long-term goal is to return to healthcare and use my life experience, digital skill set, and heart-led leadership to make a difference to one person, one smile, one stream at a time.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is in Health Information Management Technology (HIMT), with a specialization in medical coding. This field perfectly blends my passion for healthcare with my strengths in organization, attention to detail, and administrative management. After completing my HIMT education, I plan to pursue certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).

My goal is to secure a remote medical coding position, allowing me to work from home while continuing to care for my family. As a stay-at-home parent to two children with special needs, the ability to provide for my family financially, without sacrificing their care, is a top priority. Medical coding offers a stable, in-demand career that allows me to contribute meaningfully to the healthcare system from behind the scenes, ensuring accurate records and proper billing practices.

This career path also aligns with my long-term commitment to making a difference in healthcare while maintaining flexibility, balance, and the ability to be present for my children’s needs.

Graduate school interests

Graduate school has always been a dream of mine, but one that’s felt just out of reach due to life’s unexpected turns. While I have a strong desire to further my education, especially in fields like Health Information Management or Allied Health, I’m currently facing financial and personal barriers that make that path uncertain.

My husband was in a car accident in April 2025, and we currently have no savings to fall back on. I haven’t been able to work since May 2019 due to medical complications during pregnancy, followed by my infant son’s medical emergency when he was just 17 weeks old. Since then, I’ve been focused on caregiving full-time while navigating my family's health needs, advocacy, and education.

Despite these challenges, the passion is still there. I love learning, and I believe graduate school could open doors to long-term stability and a meaningful career, particularly one that allows me to work from home in medical coding or healthcare administration. I’m willing to put in time, effort, and dedication, but without financial assistance or flexible academic pathways, I’m unsure if it’s the right time.

That said, I’m exploring every option I can. If there’s a way to make it happen, through scholarships, part-time enrollment, or hybrid programs, I will fight to find it. I may not know if grad school is my final path yet, but I know I want a future where I can provide for my family, grow professionally, and help others along the way.
