About
Hi, I’m Kaylee! I’m a passionate advocate for civic engagement and social change. I am planning to major in Political Science and Pre-Law. I serve as the Vice Chair and Communications Director of the Young Democrats of Horry County, where I work to engage young voters and create opportunities for political involvement. I also volunteer with the Horry County Democratic Party in multiple groups, focusing on grassroots organizing, voter outreach, and community engagement. As a proud member of the National Honor Society, I’m committed to academic excellence, leadership, and service. My goal is to make a meaningful impact through policy and advocacy, ensuring that more people have a voice in the political process.

- Career goal
I plan to pursue a career in politics, law, and public policy. My goal is to advocate for meaningful legislative change, work on political campaigns, and eventually run for public office to represent my community. Through my work, I hope to promote civic engagement, fight for social justice, and help create policies that make a real difference in people’s lives.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in attending law school to further my understanding of the legal system and its role in shaping public policy. I want to specialize in constitutional law, civil rights, or public policy to better advocate for social justice and legislative reform. My goal is to use my legal education to support underrepresented communities, influence policy making, and potentially pursue a career in government or public service.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy traveling, reading, volunteering, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family. I love going to concerts, doing arts and crafts, and capturing moments through photography. Politics and advocacy are also a big part of my life, as I’m passionate about civic engagement and making a difference in my community. Whether I’m exploring new places, creating something artistic, or working on meaningful causes, I love staying engaged and inspired.

As a member of the Young Democrats of Horry County I assisted in co-founding and establishing the Young Dems, fostering political engagement among young voters. As Communications Director I lead communication efforts, managing social media, public outreach, and messaging strategies to expand membership and community involvement. I assist in organizing events, voter registration drives, and advocacy initiatives to promote progressive policies and civic participation. I collaborate with local leaders and organizations to strengthen the presence of young voices in political discussions.

As a volunteer with the Westside Democrats, I assist with grassroots organizing efforts to increase civic engagement within the community. My work includes helping to plan events that educate and mobilize local voters, and supporting communication efforts, including social media management. I collaborate with party leaders and activists to promote progressive policies and strengthen community involvement, ensuring that more people have the resources and knowledge to participate in the political process.
