About

I am a graduating senior at Amarillo High School pursuing a life that I can live proudly and happily. I am a habitual writer, self-taught artist, ravenous reader, practicing satirist, amateur aerialist, and punk rock advocator for the values I hold dear. I hold myself to a lofty standard when it comes to my academics, and I have found success in that field in just about every class I have taken. I also enjoy expressing myself creatively, and I have received recognition for both my writing and my traditional art.

Honors and awards

  • honor roll

I have been on the honor roll consistently for as much of my academic career as I can remember.

  • national society of high school scholars

Towards the end of last year I received my NSHSS certificate in the mail.

  • academic achievement award

I received this award for Arts and AV my freshman year, and for Latin my junior year.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to pursue a career in either linguistics, anthropology, or criminology.

Graduate school interests

I’ve been looking into the University of Oregon, Johns Hopkins, and Texas Tech, though I have also been contacted by Yale, Rice, and Stanford, and I’ve had well over a hundred different colleges and universities popping up in my inbox.

Outside the classroom

I love to write (creatively, in the realms of satire, crime drama, dystopia, and grimdark fantasy), I love to draw both traditionally and digitally, I attend aerial silks classes twice a week, I have a passion for trying different types of tea, I love to read, I run / participate in D&D sessions on the regular, I listen to music like an addict, and I love having deep conversations on topics that make me think.
