About

My name is Kelly Reimus and I am a second year Kinesiology major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I grew up in San Diego, CA and went to Scripps Ranch High School. In high school I was involved in sports and volunteering. I was a four-year varsity athlete for my high school's soccer team and a three-year varsity athlete for my high school's track and field team. I have dedicated over 200 hours of volunteering to helping kids with disabilities. In high school, I was president of Circle of Friends, a club that helps students with disabilities gain social awareness and integrate into the student body. Now as a student at Cal Poly, I am very involved on campus as I am a campus tour guide, work at the Recreation Center, and am Philanthropy Chair for my sorority. I love to play sports, hike, travel, and be among family and friends.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to become a physical therapist, specializing in pediatrics.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in staying in California to go to Physical Therapy Graduate School. My top choice as of now would be to attend PT Graduate School at San Diego State University.

Outside the classroom

I am a very active person who loves the outdoors. Going to college on the beautiful California central coast, I love to hike the mountains and spend time at the beach. I love playing intramural sports on campus, including soccer, volleyball, and futsal. I also love to travel. I have been to seven different countries, including Australia, Peru, and Ireland. My favorite travel experience thus far has been hiking along the 26 mile Inca Trail to Machu Piccu in Peru. I also love camping, with my favorite camping spot being Big Sur. Most importantly, I love doing all these activities with my family and friends. I am an extroverted person who loves to meet new people.
