2020 – 2024

Career goal: Once I graduate with my B.S. in Chemical Engineering, I plan on applying to medical school to become a doctor. All of my life, I have always just wanted to help people be the healthiest versions of themselves that they can possibly be. I plan on conducting research to find better medicines to help accommodate or maybe even cure some of the common incurable disease such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
Outside the classroom: One motto that I have always kept is this: Expand Your Knowledge. Every activity that I enjoy in my free time is something that will expand what I am capable of. With that being said, in my free time I like to learn how to play new instruments, sew beautiful garments, compose songs, paint, cook new cuisines, run, and crotchet!

There are many people in local cities that remain without a home. On this mission trip, we went to serve the homeless people of Jackson, MS. We gave them care packages that included things such as food, clothing, and water. In this giving of packages, we received the amazing stories of the people that were in this park. It was a moving experience to not only give people hope, but it was even better to build a connection with them!

I helped get this organization's name out into the community, and I helped it grow. This local food pantry located in Starkville, MS was in need of exposure. Not many people in the community knew of the service that this food pantry provides to those that struggle to get a hot meal. I was able to use social media and the local news channel to get the word out about Casserole Kitchen. On occasion, I got to help serve the food to these beautiful people of the community.

Many of our rivers are trashed with paper and plastic. My role in this project was to help clean up the trash that resided on the riverbanks of the Tombigbee River in Demopolis, AL. It is our job to keep this planet clean. After all, we have to keep it alive and beautiful for others to live in!
