Goals and interests
- Career goal
Having two fields of study opens up my future to many different paths and jobs. I intend to pursue a career in either the Art & Design field of Graphic Design, Motion Design and Photography, or in Musical Theater. More recently I have been able to combine these two passions, and would love to pursue a job / career that involves both. There are many jobs I can see myself doing in the future.
- Outside the classroom
Outside of my academics, I have trained in many styles of dance for the last 16 years including ballet, tap, ballroom, modern, jazz, flamenco, character, and more. I love performing in musical theater and putting on a show for all to see. I also take vocal lessons to be well rounded. My family is very artistic both in the creative and performing arts. My mother, sister, and I all perform in musicals together, which is such a joy. We often all sing for charities, fundraisers and local benefits. As for the creative side, my whole family is able to create their own unique art. For me, graphic design and photography are a huge part of my life; I always have my camera ready. Life is full of beautiful moments and I try to capture as many as I can. I also love to read and write. Since a young age, writing poetry and stories has been such an enjoyment. I love picking up a good book and reading all day, going off on different journeys full of adventure. I also have been learning American Sign Language. The Deaf culture has so much to offer and the language is truly beautiful. I am currently the Secretary of the Northwestern Deaf Club and love the responsibility and possibilities the position offers. Being apart of the ASL Community has had a huge impact on my life and I look forward to learning as much as possible.
These are some of the many things I enjoy doing in my life. Each day holds something new to discover, try, and learn, and I look forward to what adventure the future holds.
