I wanted to do something in my career that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people's lives daily. In the nursing profession, you deal with many aspects of patient care, and I enjoy the variety in the routine. Dealing with patients and their families and helping them through what is often a difficult time for them is extremely satisfying for me. My mother used to be a caretaker for older people and seeing the satisfaction she feels every day by helping people in her job inspired my own interest in the field. I knew from the time that I was very young that nursing was something I wanted to do with my life. Throughout high school my interest in nursing has grown rapidly and indefinitely. have always been motivated by helping others achieve their goals. Nursing offers a unique opportunity to help people work towards achieving a healthy state of being, one of the most important aspects of life. The rewarding nature of the job, combined with the potential to enjoy stable work opportunities have motivated me to pursue a career in nursing that I hope to continue growing in for the entirety of my professional life. One of the greatest obstacles I’ve overcome was moving here to Texas in 2019. I left everything I've known for years I mean since I was born. I had to make new friends and adjust to a completely different way of life. One thing that made me successful was my natural curiosity and interest in learning. I’ve always been a good student, someone who loves to succeed in everything I do and someone who enjoys picking up new knowledge. I’ve taken that approach to learning new skills hand on, which I think has helped me get ahead in my personal and professional life and overcome obstacles or disadvantages.
