About

As a young child, I was always taught that education, not schooling, was imperative, and an immense part of growing to become a successful woman. My grades, are not meant to prescribe my "intelligence" level, as they aren't the best illustration of an individual's brilliance. They are, rather, an indication of my ability to work diligently, and create a pattern in which I work for the things I desire, instead of falling into the easy habit of waiting for handouts.

Goals and interests

Career goal

As a young child, I was aware that I wanted to be of service to those in need. Throughout high school, I enrolled myself into programs such as: KNIT, a dual-credit nursing program, which helped students complete the prerequisites for nursing school, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), Texas Children's Hospital's Summer Junior Volunteer Program, Harris County's Public Service Volunteer program, etc. In working through these programs, my love for people has grown incredibly as I was awarded the opportunity to understand the various backgrounds and life stories of survivors. From this, I planned to continue pursuing my nursing career as I will enroll in Texas A&M's Traditional BSN program, then pursue my Master's and Doctorate;s of nursing as I work at Texas Children's Hospital as a pediatric nurse. After becoming a seasoned nurse, I want to transition into working as a per diem nurse, where I will be stationed at Texas Children's Hospital, and travel to any location that needs my services. My ultimate goal is to work as a nurse and help those around me, no matter the pay.

Graduate school interests

I wish to complete grad school at Texas A&M. There, I hope to meet many more healthcare workers from which I could learn and better myself, not only as a nurse, but as a person. I wish to continue school until I obtain my doctorate's. I feel as though there is always an opportunity to learn, and the more I learn, the more I am of efficient service to those needing my help.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy reading, listening to music, dancing, family bonding, adventurous activities, and any activity that involves the simple cost of enjoyment.
