Krista Witiak

I am currently a Media Communications student at Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida.
I grew up in a town called Celebration, a master planned community close to Orlando Florida that was originally developed by The Walt Disney Company.
I have been fortunate to have a stable childhood with both of my parents together and involved and guiding me through the years, stressing the importance of making good choices. They have both reinforced my independence and the importance of working hard but always with honesty and integrity. Neither has steered me wrong but have always emphasized the importance of being honest with myself and being prepared to assume responsibility and accept consequences.
I have self-confidence, ambition, and the desire to lead. Being a part of many school organizations over the years, including Senior Class President, allowed me to work closely with others and develop leadership qualities that now have afforded me some great opportunities here at Florida State University. Leading is all about establishing direction and influencing others to follow and no list of leadership characteristics and skills are definitive because no two leaders are alike. What is important is that I stand out from the crowd, continue to exhibit positive traits that make me effective in any organization.
