Goals and interests
- Career goal
As a graduate student in Social Work at Southern University at New Orleans with a strong GPA and a commitment to academic excellence and community service, my intended job path aligns closely with my passion for making a positive impact on individuals and communities. Upon completing my Master's degree, I aspire to pursue a career as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) specializing in mental health and trauma-informed care. My goal is to work in a clinical setting where I can provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, or life transitions. I am particularly interested in working with marginalized and underserved populations, such as refugees, survivors of domestic violence, or individuals impacted by substance abuse. In addition to direct clinical practice, I aim to engage in community outreach and advocacy efforts to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to quality mental health services, especially in under-resourced communities. I see myself collaborating with other professionals, community organizations, and policymakers to create systemic change and address social determinants of mental health.
