Goals and interests
- Career goal
I aspire to work in the non profit sector, the United Nations, or potentially the school system, particularly with education of underprivileged, refugee and immigrant youth. My dream is to not only address the symptoms of a world with hate, selfishness, and prejudice, but through individual empowerment, communication and interpersonal relationship education, enable people to take part in abolishing the causes.
- Graduate school interests
I would like to get a masters in education, hopefully at John Hopkins or George Washington University.
- Outside the classroom
I love to read, especially classics, I am about to finish Catch-22!
Another one of my hobbies is ballroom dancing, which I participate with as a founding member and former treasurer of the University Ballroom team at Bridgeport through classes three times a week and also semesterly intercollegiate competitions.
Although I am not a part of a college sport at all I enjoy distance running; I did cross country running in high school and am now training for my first marathon in October.
I also enjoy music, and though I don't play my instruments much anymore besides guitar I have continued singing in college with Gospel Choir and University Singers.
