Lacey Nihiser

Hello, my name is Lacey and I am 20 years old. I am a full time student at Richland Community College as well as working full time as a At Home Care-Aid. Since I was young, I have dreamed about a career path working with and treating animals! I come from middle-class family that has worked hard to get to where they are and I am the first of my family working towards a Bachelors degree. I spent my last two years of highschool taking dual-credit courses at Richland which covered Small Scale Livestock Management and Agriculture Business Management. After highschool, I worked at a veterinary clinic, learning the basics of the veterinary field firsthand. I am currently a sophomore at Richland therefore I will be achieving an Associate in Science degree in 2023. Aquiring this degree will allow me to transfer to St. Louis University to achieve a Bachelor's in Animal Sciences. I spend most of my time working, studying for my courses, spending time with family and pets, and enjoying nature.
